Cargo Liners Pvt Ltd is on the ground floor at 20 Strand Road. If you know Strand Road, you know how busy and crowded it gets with all the vehicles and people moving toward the river. Our office being on the ground floor means we see everyone passing by. It is a very old building with thick walls and high ceilings. We do not have any fancy carpets or modern glass partitions. It is mostly just heavy desks and a lot of filing cabinets that have been here for decades. The air is always a bit damp because of the proximity to the water but we do not mind it much. We spend our time dealing with cargo details and paperwork that comes with moving things around. The phones ring quite a bit and there is usually a lot of shouting back and forth to get things heard over the street noise. It is a gritty place to work and it feels very real. We do not use any promotional language or try to impress anyone who walks in. People come here because they know we are here on the ground floor of number 20. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going throughout the long afternoons. It is not a glamorous job but it is what we do and we have been doing it right here on Strand Road for a long time.
