Calcutta Brasserie Private Limited is situated at shop numbers 119 and 120. You can find us on the first floor at 6 Chittaranjan Avenue. This is right in the heart of Kolkata, 700072. The building is one of those old city structures that has seen a lot over the years. Being on the first floor means you have to walk up the stairs or take the lift, but it gets you away from the direct noise of the street level. Chittaranjan Avenue is a busy place at all hours. We spend our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure the dining area is wiped down. It’s a lot of work running a place like this. We have a small crew and everyone has to do a bit of everything. Sometimes the plumbing in these old buildings acts up and we have to call a repairman, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a massive menu, just the things we know how to make well. The lighting inside is a bit dim, which some people seem to like.
