Buzzing Restaurants is found at 48A, Syed Amir Ali Avenue in Kolkata. This is a very lively and loud part of the city with people walking by and cars honking at all hours. Our office here is where we manage all the behind-the-scenes work for our food business. Running restaurants involves a lot more than just the cooking part. There is always a mountain of paperwork to deal with, from local permits to bills and the staff schedules. We spend most of our time on the phone or sitting at desks that are usually covered in notes. The energy of Syed Amir Ali Avenue definitely keeps us awake and moving. We do not have a fancy corporate lobby or anything like that. It is just a functional space where we solve the daily problems that come up. Sometimes a fridge breaks down at one of our locations or a supplier is late with the delivery of fresh vegetables. We just deal with these things as they happen. It is a high-pressure environment, but we have become used to it. We are an LLP, so we work closely together as partners. We do not go in for big, polished marketing campaigns. We think if the food is decent and the place is clean, the people will come back. Our focus is really on the day-to-day operations. It is messy and loud sometimes, but that is the restaurant industry here.
