Burhani Hardware Stores

We’ve been at 73 Netaji Subhas Road for a long time now. We are up on the second floor, so people have to walk up, but they find us okay. Burhani Hardware Stores is just a small place packed with all sorts of things. Sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what you need in all the boxes, but we usually know where everything is. It gets busy on this road, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their projects started. We see a lot of the same faces coming in for tools or bits of hardware they forgot they needed. The building is older, and the stairs can be a bit of a workout if you’re carrying heavy stuff, but that’s just how it is here. Most of our days are spent checking the stock and talking to people who stop by. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just shelves and counters and us. Sometimes the power goes out or the traffic outside is too loud to hear anything, but we manage. If you are looking for us, look for the sign near the entrance of the building. We try to keep things organized, though it doesn't always stay that way when a big shipment comes in. We often have tea while we wait for the rain to stop or for the midday heat to pass. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time between all the deliveries. It’s just one of those places that feels lived in.
