Bipasa Caterer

Our place is at 88/1A Rashbehari Avenue, right in the Kalighat area. This part of Kolkata is always full of life, with the temple nearby and the trams and buses constantly moving along the road. We operate out of a small space here, focusing on our catering work. It is a traditional kind of business. We spend most of our time talking to people about their upcoming family events or gatherings. There is a lot of noise from the street outside, but inside we are usually busy with lists of ingredients and schedules for the week. We don't use fancy websites or big advertisements to get noticed. Most people find us because they live in the neighborhood or heard about us from a neighbor. The kitchen is where the real work happens, and it can get quite hot and cramped when we have a big order to finish. We don't have a philosophy or anything like that. We just know how to cook for large groups and we make sure the food gets to where it needs to go on time. Sometimes the traffic on Rashbehari Avenue makes deliveries a real challenge, but we’ve learned the shortcuts over the years. It is a local business, run by local people, and we just take it one day at a time, making sure the pots are clean and the spices are fresh. We try to keep things simple and just do our job well for the people who hire us.
