Bindas Caterer

We are based at 234, Bipin Ganguly Road, which is really close to Dum Dum Junction. You can hear the trains passing by if you listen closely, though we’ve stopped noticing it after all these years. Bindas Caterer is run by a small group of us who have lived in Dum Dum most of our lives. Our workspace isn't a showroom; it’s a working kitchen and storage area. We have big metal containers and stoves that stay busy most of the week. There is always a lot of activity, especially when we are preparing for a big weekend. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If someone comes by to talk, they usually just find us in the back with our sleeves rolled up. The road outside can get quite muddy when it rains, so we are always mopping the floor to keep it clean. We’ve known our neighbors for years, and we often share tea with the shop owners next door. It’s a practical way of life here. We don't bother with marketing or big slogans. Most of our work comes from people who have seen us at local events or heard about us through a friend. It’s been that way since the start. We just keep our heads down, make the food, and make sure it gets delivered to the right place on time.
