Ashirbad Caterer

Ashirbad Caterer is based out of 10/B, Southern Ave in the Kalighat area. We have been here for a good number of years. It’s a nice part of town, though parking can be a real headache sometimes. My staff and I spend most of our time in the back prep area. We take care of a lot of local events. Being in Kalighat, we get a lot of people coming by to ask about menus. We don't have a flashy website or anything. We just write things down in a notebook and get to work. Most mornings start with a trip to the local market to see what is fresh. Southern Ave is a good spot for us because we can get to different parts of the city fairly quickly. The kitchen gets pretty hot in the summer, but that’s just part of the job. We aren't a big chain, just a local business trying to do things the right way. We have a few regular helpers who have been with us since the start. We usually have the radio playing while we work. It keeps the mood light when we have five hundred plates to get ready. Sometimes things go wrong, like a delivery bike breaking down, but we always find a way to fix it. We just care about the food being right and getting to the client on time. It’s simple work but it takes up all our time and we enjoy being here.
