Our spot is tucked away on Garden Lane, specifically at 8/1D Gurudas Datta. It isn't the biggest place you’ve ever seen, but we make it work. Most of the time it’s pretty busy with people looking for a quick bite during their lunch break. We’ve got a few tables, though they fill up fast when the office crowds come out. The kitchen is small, so it gets pretty warm in there during the afternoon rush. We try to keep the menu straightforward because nobody has time to read a book when they're hungry. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, and we just have to tell people we're out. It happens. The staff here are mostly local folks who live nearby. We know a lot of the regulars by name and what they usually order. It’s nice to have that connection. The floor gets a bit scuffed from all the feet coming in and out, but we scrub it every night. Working in food means long hours on your feet. My back usually aches by the time I head home. We just keep the lights on and the stove going. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the neighborhood. Nothing more to it than that, really. We keep the music low so people can actually talk to each other without shouting. It's just a normal place for regular people.
