Ankur Caterer

We’ve been here at 14A/2 Srinath Mukherjee Lane for quite some time now. Most people know the spot because it’s right by the Axis Bank ATM in Ghughudanga. It’s a busy little corner. Usually, the day starts pretty early for us when the supplies arrive. We spend most of our hours in the kitchen area, making sure everything is chopped and ready. It gets hot back there, especially during the summer months, but that’s just how the work goes. Ankur Caterer isn't a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s more of a workspace where we get things done for the local parties and gatherings around here. Sometimes the lane gets crowded with the delivery vans, but the neighbors are used to it by now. We’ve got a small group of workers who have stayed with us for years. They know where every pot and pan is kept. It’s not always quiet, and things can get a bit hectic when we have a few orders at the same time. You might see us running back and forth to the ATM or talking to the vegetable sellers nearby. It’s just a normal part of life in this part of town. We don't spend much time on the computer or doing paperwork, honestly. Most of our time is spent with the food and making sure the containers are packed right before they go out. It’s practical work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening.
