Bluebird Bags

Bluebird Bags is tucked away at No. 29 Amartalla Street. If you know the area near Bagree Market, you know how crowded it gets every day. We are located behind the Vijay Petrol Pump on Rakhial Road. It is a bit of a squeeze to get through the narrow lanes, especially when the handcarts are moving goods back and forth. Our shop is small and packed almost to the ceiling with bags of all kinds. You will find backpacks, duffles, and some smaller pouches scattered around the shelves. There isn't much room to walk once we have a new shipment in. We usually have the radio playing in the background, mostly old songs that everyone knows. The walls are a bit stained from years of use, and the floor is just plain concrete. It is just three of us working here most days. We spend a lot of time stitching handles or fixing zippers that got stuck. The smell of new material and glue is everywhere. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always shouting and horns honking outside our door. We do not have a fancy display window to show off the goods. Most people just see the bags hanging from the doorway as they walk past. It has been our spot for a long time. We know the other shopkeepers on Amartalla Street well. Sometimes we share tea in the afternoons when the rush dies down for a bit. It is a tough way to make a living with all the competition around, but we keep at it. No. 29 is home for us during the day.
