Aircon Engineers

Our workshop is situated within the Durgapur Engineering Works over in Kolkata. It’s a place filled with the smell of grease and the sound of metal being worked on. We’ve been part of this industrial patch for a long time. It isn't a clean, white-collar office. Our hands usually have a bit of dirt on them by the end of the day. We focus on air conditioning and engineering stuff, mostly fixing things that others find too complicated. The fans in the ceiling are huge and loud, but they keep the air moving while we work. We have a lot of heavy tools and spare parts scattered around the benches. Most people who come to see us are looking for a practical fix for their cooling systems. We don’t spend much time on fancy letters or marketing. Usually, we are just under a machine or looking at some blueprints. Kolkata is a humid place, so there’s always work for us to do. We take our tea breaks outside on the steps when the sun isn't too hot. It’s a tough job sometimes, but we like the technical side of it. We just show up, do the repairs, and make sure the machines are humming again. It gets really loud in the middle of the afternoon when everyone is working, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. It is just the way we like it.
