We are over at Ba 16 D.B.Nagar in the Baguiati area. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been in this exact spot for a while now. The building is nothing special to look at but it’s where all the work happens. Usually, you’ll hear the hum of the sewing machines before you even get through the front door. We spend most of our time cutting and sewing things for our clients. It’s not always pretty inside. There are scraps of fabric all over the floor by midday. We try to keep it organized but sometimes the work gets ahead of us. We have a small team here and some of the guys have been here since the very start. We mostly just keep our heads down and get through the orders as they come in. Baguiati is a good place to be because everything we need is nearby. If we run out of thread or need a specific type of button, someone can just run out and find it in ten minutes. It’s practical for us. We don’t have a big front office or a receptionist. If you come by to see us, you’ll just see us working at the tables. We mostly do work for other local businesses. It’s simple, honest work. We don’t use fancy computerized machines for every little thing. A lot of it is still done the old way because it feels right. We are just a local setup.
