Our office is in the Ideal Centre on the second floor. The address is 9 AJC Bose Road in Kolkata. If you’ve ever been to this part of West Bengal, you know how the traffic can be. AJC Bose Road is one of those iconic streets where everything feels like it’s moving at once. Stemcor India Pvt. Ltd. has been in this building for quite some time. The Ideal Centre is an older building, which gives it a certain character. The elevators can be a bit slow, so we often just take the stairs to the second floor. Inside, the office is spread out with various departments. We have large windows that look out onto the street, so we get to see the city life all day. Kolkata has a specific vibe, especially during the monsoon when the rain hits the glass. We have a small pantry where we make tea and keep our lunch boxes. The floors are a bit worn down in places where the chairs have moved over the years. We aren't into the whole high-tech office look. It’s more about having a reliable place to sit and do our work. We deal with a lot of international and local stuff, so there’s always a mix of languages being spoken. It’s a busy environment, but we’ve all grown used to the rhythm of the city and the office. It’s just home for us during the day.
