Ganeshratna Family Restaurant

We are situated out on the Unchagaon Mudshingi Road in Kolhapur. Ganeshratna Family Restaurant is a place we started because we wanted somewhere local for families to come and eat. It’s not right in the middle of the city, which is nice because it’s a bit calmer out here. The road gets some traffic, but it’s nothing like the main market areas. We’ve got a mix of indoor seating and a bit of space outside too. The menu is mostly stuff that we like to eat ourselves, things people in Kolhapur grew up with. We don’t have any fancy chefs with tall hats, just some local cooks who know how to handle spices properly. My cousin handles the front while I usually hang out near the kitchen to make sure things are moving along. The furniture is simple wood, and we don’t have any of those bright neon signs. Sometimes the service might be a little slow if a big group shows up all at once, but we do our best to get the food out hot. We’ve had the same people coming in for Sunday dinner for years now. It’s nice to see kids who used to come in with their parents now bringing their own families. We just keep doing what we do, serving plates of food and keeping the place tidy for the next person who walks in.
