Metal Strips is based out of GIDC, specifically at unit 45078. The GIDC area is huge, and it’s full of places just like ours. We don't have a big fancy name, just Metal Strips, because that is exactly what we handle. Our unit is a standard industrial shed. It’s tall, gray, and gets pretty loud when the cutting machines are going. We don’t have any plants or decorations in the office. It’s just a desk, a few chairs, and a lot of ledgers. The work is repetitive, cutting metal to size and stacking it up, but it’s what we do. The air inside can get a bit stuffy, so we keep the big shutters open most of the day. You can see the other factories from our front gate. We don’t really interact with them much, except for a quick nod when we’re out for lunch. We’ve been at 45078 for several years. There isn't much to say about our history; we just started working and never really stopped. We don't use big words or have fancy missions. We just make sure the strips are cut right and the orders are ready on time. It’s a straightforward industrial life here in the GIDC. People know where to find us if they need metal work done. The trucks come and go on the dusty roads, and we just keep our heads down and finish the day's tasks. It is not glamorous. It is just work.
