About Shiv Steel Engineering – Metals & Minerals in Kheda
At Shiv Steel Engineering, we operate out of Block No. 61 in Shivam Estate, which is part of Phase-2 in the Gidc area. It’s a very industrial setting, surrounded by other workshops and factories doing all sorts of metalwork. Our space is basically a big shed with high ceilings to let the heat out when we are welding or cutting steel. There are stacks of metal rods and sheets leaning against the walls, and the floor is usually covered in some iron filings and scraps. We have a heavy crane overhead that we use for moving the bigger pieces, and the sound of it moving on the rails is something you hear all day long. It’s a tough environment, but we’ve got a good rhythm going. The office is just a tiny cabin in one corner where we keep the drawings and the invoices. It has a single window that looks out onto the main workshop floor. Shivam Estate is always busy with trucks coming in and out, so there is a lot of shouting and horns honking throughout the day. We usually wear heavy boots and overalls because things can get messy pretty fast when you're working with steel. Most of our regulars are other business owners from the Gidc who need something custom-made or a frame repaired. It’s a place of hard work, loud noises, and the smell of burnt metal, which is exactly how an engineering shop should be.
