Shivam Steel Engineers

Shivam Steel Engineers is situated over at Plot No. H-4-16 in Phase-1 of the Gidc. Working with steel is heavy and hot work, and you can see that just by looking at the floor of our workshop. There are scraps of metal everywhere and the sound of welding is constant. We don’t have an air-conditioned office; we just have a small corner with a fan that mostly pushes the hot air around. It’s a real hands-on kind of place. Most of us go home with grease under our fingernails every day. We’ve been at this same spot for years now, and the building has a lot of character, which is just a nice way of saying it’s old. We know how to handle the heavy stuff and we don’t really mind the hard labor. Sometimes we have to work late to get a big project finished, and the whole place is lit up while the rest of the street is dark. We don't use any big words to describe ourselves because we are just engineers who work with steel. There are no fancy meetings or PowerPoint presentations here. If someone wants something made, they usually just come by with a drawing on a piece of scrap paper and we figure it out together. It’s how we have always done things at Plot H-4-16, and it seems to work out fine for everyone involved. It is honest work.
