Vijaya Sri Sai Granites

Our little office is in Mamillagudam, right there in Flat No 102 at Dr.No. 10-1-44. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t from around here, but once you’ve been once, you remember the way. Most of our work at Vijaya Sri Sai Granites involves a lot of phone calls and paperwork, sitting around the table and figuring out which slabs go where. It gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of people coming in at once, but we make it work. The neighborhood is usually quite busy during the day, so there is always some noise from the street coming through the windows. We spend a lot of time talking to the drivers and the loaders who handle the actual granite blocks. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit there and wait for it to come back on so we can get back to the computer. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We’ve been in this flat for a good while, and it feels like home to us now. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we see each other outside of work too. We don't really do the big corporate thing; we just focus on getting the stone moved and keeping things organized in the books. It is a lot of routine, but we don't mind the steady pace of it all.
