You can find us at Survey Number 281/A in the Ida area of Kaikondaigudem. It’s an industrial spot, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks in the background. Our building is a big shed with a lot of open space for the granite. We have the cutting machines running most of the morning. It’s loud and wet because of the water used for the blades. We wear boots all day because the floor is always damp. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where the work gets done. There’s a small desk in the corner where we handle the bills. We don't have a fancy lobby for visitors. Most people who come here are looking for specific sizes for their homes or projects. We’ve been in Kaikondaigudem for several years now. The area has changed a bit, but we’re still here at the same survey number. The electricity goes out sometimes, and we have to wait for it to come back to finish a cut. That’s just part of being in this part of town. We have a small group of workers who have been with us since the start. We know our way around the different types of stone. It’s a lot of physical labor, and at the end of the day, we’re all pretty tired. We just lock the gates and head home to rest. The work is steady and that is all we really want for our families.
