Laxmi Ganapati Granites

You can find our place at Plot Number 22/10/1, right by the Kaikondaigudem Post. It’s a fairly easy location to get to. We have a good-sized yard where we store all our granite. It’s mostly open air, so we’re at the mercy of the weather. When it rains, the yard gets a bit muddy, but the stone stays fine. We’ve been working out of this spot for several years. Most of our days are spent moving heavy slabs with the hand carts or the small crane we have. It’s physical work and it keeps us in shape. There’s a tiny office on the side of the plot where we keep the records and a phone. It’s usually covered in a fine layer of stone dust no matter how much we clean. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. People just know we are here. We talk to the people who come in, show them what’s in stock, and help them figure out the measurements. It’s a local business, so we know many of the folks who stop by. Sometimes the kids from the neighborhood play near the gate. We just keep doing what we do every day. It’s a simple routine of opening up, checking the inventory, and seeing who stops by. We’re just regular people trying to make a living with stone. We’ve been part of this community for a long time now and it feels right.
