Manivarshan Granite

Our workshop is at Unit Number 2 on Yellandu Road. We are right in the Khanapuram Industrial Area, quite close to the Anjaneya Swamy Temple. Having the temple nearby is nice; you can hear the bells and it feels like a good spot to be. This area is always busy with workers and heavy vehicles. We have a lot of granite stacked up in the yard. It gets very dusty with all the traffic and the work we do. We spend our days measuring slabs and helping people pick out what they need for their floors or counters. It’s not a polished environment. There are scraps of stone everywhere and the walls are stained from the rain. We have a small corner with a couple of chairs for when customers want to sit down and talk about prices. We’ve been here in Khanapuram for a while. The road gets really congested in the evenings when everyone is leaving the industrial area. We usually stay a bit later to avoid the worst of it. It’s just me and a few guys who handle the lifting and the cutting. We don't use any fancy computer systems, just a notebook and a pen. It’s how we’ve always done it. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy. We like the neighborhood even with all the noise from the trucks.
