Sri Vinayaka Stones

Down at Survey 137/9 in Gurralapadu, you’ll find Sri Vinayaka Stones. We’ve been at this location for some time now, just handling the stone as it comes in. It’s not a complicated business. We take the blocks, we cut them, and we move them out. There’s a lot of lifting and moving involved, so we stay pretty tired by the end of the week. The ground at the yard is usually covered in grit, and the noise from the saws is constant during the day. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. People just know we are here in Gurralapadu. If you walk onto the lot, you’ll probably see us covered in gray water from the cutters. It’s a tough way to make a living, but we know the stone well. Every piece is a bit different, and we’ve learned how to handle the variations over the years. We don't promise anything fancy, just the work we do every day at our spot. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, especially when it rains and the yard gets muddy, but we keep going. We keep the slabs stacked up and ready for whoever needs them for their projects.
