Vijaya Jagan Granites

Mudigonda is where we do most of our work. It is a quiet place until the machines start running in the morning. We have been working with granite for a long time and the yard is always covered in that fine grey dust. You can hear the saws cutting through the blocks from a distance. It is tough work, especially when the sun is hitting the stones and reflecting the heat back at you. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. Instead, we have a small space where we keep the books and take orders. Most of our day is spent outside checking the slabs and making sure the edges are cut straight. The blocks come in big and heavy, and we have to be smart about how we move them so nothing gets damaged. We see a lot of local builders coming through asking for specific sizes for their projects. Sometimes the power goes out and everything stops, which is just how it is in this area. We just wait it out and start again. It’s a simple operation really. We focus on getting the stone ready and loaded onto the trucks. There’s no secret to it, just showing up and doing the labor every day. It is just about getting the granite out to the people who need it.
