Vijay Granites

Vijay Granites is tucked away in Bank Colony, just off Wyra Road. We've been operating from this spot for a while, and it's become a bit of a routine for us. Every day starts with moving slabs around to make space for customers to walk through. Wyra Road is usually busy, so we get a lot of people stopping in just because they saw the granite as they were passing by. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth from people in Bank Colony is usually enough to keep us busy. It’s a family-style environment here, nothing too formal. We wear our work clothes, get our hands dirty, and talk to people like they're our neighbors—because most of the time, they are. Stone is a tricky thing to sell because every piece looks different. You might find a pattern you love on one slab, but the next one in the pile is totally different. We tell people to take their time looking. There's no use rushing into buying something that's going to be in your house for thirty years. Our tools are basic but they get the job done. We focus on the cutting and making sure the edges are clean. It’s a simple business model: we buy stone, we prep it, and we sell it to whoever needs it for their construction project. No bells or whistles, just plenty of granite.
