Sri Venkateshwara Granites

Most mornings start early here at Survey-176/Aa in Mudigonda-Vill. We've been at this spot for a while now, just working through the daily pile of granite blocks that come in. It isn't a fancy setup by any means. You’ll mostly see us covered in a bit of dust because that's just how the stone business goes when you're out in the village. The sun gets pretty hot over the survey site by noon, so we try to get the heavy lifting done before the middle of the day. There's always someone around the yard, usually drinking tea or checking on the machinery. Sri Venkateshwara Granites is basically just a few of us making sure the loads get moved where they need to go. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just the space out here in Mudigonda where we can keep the stone. It’s a lot of physical work, moving those heavy slabs around and making sure the trucks can get in and out without getting stuck when the ground gets soft. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. If you come by, you’ll likely find us near the main shed. We know the roads around here like the back of our hands. It's a simple life out here at the site, just focusing on the stones and the day-to-day tasks that keep everything moving along at a steady pace.
