S.P.S. Granites

Down at Plot 3-19 in M. Venkatayyapem, that’s where you’ll find the S.P.S. Granites yard. It’s out in the Khammam Rural area, so there is plenty of space for the stone slabs we have sitting around. The air is always a bit heavy with the sound of the saws cutting through the blocks. It’s pretty loud, honestly. You have to shout sometimes just to be heard over the noise. Most of the folks working here have been around for a long time and they know the granite inside and out. We aren't doing anything fancy or high-tech. It’s just moving heavy stuff and making sure it looks okay before it goes on a truck. The yard is a bit messy, especially when it rains and the ground gets all muddy around the plot. We spend a lot of time just organizing the different pieces. People come by and ask about prices or just to see what’s in stock. We don’t have a big sales team or anything. Usually, it’s just one of us coming out of the little shed with a clipboard. It’s a simple life out here in the rural part of town. We just keep our heads down and handle the stone. There’s no big secret to what we do. It’s just daily work, day in and day out, at the same spot in Venkatayyapem. It gets the job done and we like the routine.
