R C Sahu Namaskar Inter College

You can find us in Majhawan, which is a bit of a distance from the main hub of Kanpur. We are an inter college, which means we mostly deal with students in their final years of schooling. The area around here is quite simple and traditional. The college is named R C Sahu Namaskar, and it’s been a fixture in Majhawan for a long time. The building is a basic structure with several classrooms and a small office for the administration. Most of our students come from the local families in this part of Kanpur. They usually arrive by cycle or on foot every morning. The classrooms have the old-style desks and benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. We don't have a lot of modern luxuries here. It’s about getting the syllabus finished and helping the kids pass their exams so they can move on. The playground is mostly just a patch of dirt where they play during the break time. Our teachers are local people who know the community well and care about the families. In the winter, it gets quite cold, and in the summer, the ceiling fans are always buzzing overhead. It’s a honest kind of place where things are done the old-fashioned way. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. People just know us because we’ve been here in Majhawan for so long. It’s just a normal school day for everyone here.
