Govt Inter College

This is the Government Inter College located in the Lal Imli Chunniganj area of Kanpur. If you know Kanpur, you know that 208001 is right in the heart of things. The building is an old government structure, very solid with thick walls and big windows. It feels like it’s been here forever. Because it’s an inter college, we have a lot of younger students in their final years of school. The noise level is always high because there are so many kids. You can hear them shouting in the playground or rushing down the stairs when the bell rings. The area around Chunniganj is always packed with traffic and people, so it never really gets quiet. Inside, the desks are scratched with names of students from years ago. The teachers have their own small desks in the corner of the rooms. We deal with a lot of paperwork because that is how government places are. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just the big old ceiling fans that hum all day. It’s a place where the local kids come to finish their schooling. We don't put on any airs or graces. It’s just a basic school life in the middle of a busy city. Every day is pretty much the same, full of energy and a bit of a mess, but we like it that way. It is a landmark in this part of Kanpur.
