Travel Field

Travel Field is our small business located at Thavakkal Villa in Kurichiyil. We are in Thalassery, which is part of the Kannur district in Kerala. Our pin code is 670102. Working out of a villa makes it feel very different from a standard office. It’s a bit more relaxed and personal. We don't have any big marketing budgets or fancy signs. Most of our customers are folks from the Kurichiyil area who know we are here. We spend our days looking up flight schedules and train routes for people. A lot of our work involves helping people who are moving or traveling for their jobs. We just sit at our desks and work through the requests one by one. It’s a simple setup with just the basics like computers and a printer. Sometimes the phone rings a lot and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We don't use any promotional language or corporate jargon. We just tell people the facts and help them get their tickets sorted. It’s a very local way of doing business. We have been here at Thavakkal Villa for a good while and we know the community well. We just like being a normal, helpful place for people to come when they need to go somewhere. We keep a small diary for notes because sometimes it's easier than typing everything out right away. It's just a habit we have here.
