Kannur Taxi Club

We are located right at Caltex, just across from the Sub Registrar Office in the Noble Arcade. It is a busy spot and we have been here for quite some time now. Most days start early before the sun gets too high because the heat in Kannur can be something else once midday hits. Our drivers sit around the office or in their cars waiting for the phone to ring. We take people wherever they need to go, whether it is a quick trip to the market or a long drive to the airport. The cars are just regular vehicles we try to keep clean and running well. Sometimes the traffic near the office gets a bit messy with all the people heading to the registrar, but we manage. We don't have a big fancy setup, just a desk, a couple of chairs, and our mobile phones. People usually know us by word of mouth or they just see the cars parked out front. It is honest work and we enjoy talking to the passengers who get in. Everyone has a story, from the students going to college to the families going to a wedding. We know these roads like the back of our hands, even the small ones that don't show up on maps. It gets quiet in the evenings but there is always someone around if a call comes in late. We just do our job and go home to our families at the end of the day.
