Safiya Travels

Safiya Travels is located here in Kerala. We don't have a big fancy office building in a city center. It is more of a local operation. We handle travel bookings for people who need to get around the state or go further away. Most of the time it is just answering the phone and checking the schedules for buses and trains. We have been doing this for several years now. It started small and it stayed pretty small. We like it that way because we know everyone who comes in. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized during the monsoon season when travel is hard. We just try to help people find the best way to get home or to their jobs. There are no big posters or shiny decorations in our workspace. It is just a desk, a few chairs, and a calendar on the wall. We spend a lot of time talking to the drivers and making sure the vehicles are ready. Kerala is a big place but the travel community feels small. We know most of the other agencies around here too. We don't use any fancy computer systems, just a simple logbook and some basic software. It's a lot of work but it keeps us busy throughout the year. We don't really think about growing big or opening new branches. Just being here and doing the daily tasks is enough for us. It’s a quiet life in our corner of India and we are happy with how things are.
