Creative Play School

Creative Play School is a small place on Thayatheru Road in the Thana area. We started this because we wanted a local spot where little kids could just be kids while they learn. It’s not a big, shiny building, but we’ve made the rooms inside bright and comfortable. We have toys and blocks and plenty of paper for drawing. The kids spend their time playing together and learning how to share, which is sometimes the hardest part for them. The staff here are mostly local women who have kids of their own, so they understand when a child is having a rough morning or just needs a nap. We are right on Thayatheru Road, so it’s easy for parents to drop their children off on their way to work. We don't have a rigid curriculum where every minute is planned out. Instead, we let the children choose what they want to play with for a bit. It’s a very relaxed environment. You will often hear singing or the sound of blocks falling over if you walk past. We keep things simple and honest. If a child didn't eat their lunch or if they had a great time with the finger paints, we tell the parents exactly that when they come to pick them up in the afternoon. It is just a neighborhood school trying to give children a good, safe place to spend their day while they are still very small.
