It is a local setup, nothing too shiny or complicated. We are just a bunch of guys from the Kannad area who figured out that we could do more if we worked as one group instead of ten separate ones. Farming in Aurangabad has its ups and downs with the weather, so having a group helps. We spend a lot of time at the house just talking through what needs to happen next. It is not a corporate boardroom. It is just a room with some chairs and a lot of talk about soil and prices. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually gets us somewhere. Vita is a quiet enough place, but we keep busy. There is always someone coming by to ask a question or drop off some paperwork. We handle the business side of things so the farming can keep going. It is a slow process sometimes, but it is our process. We are just local people looking out for each other and the land we have been working for years. It is about keeping the tradition alive while being smart about the business.
