Shree Kalikamata Agro Producer Company Limited

We are basically just a group of people from around Amba who decided to get together and do something with our crops. You can find us at Bajirao Panditrao Bhavar’s place, house number 108. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that, just a regular spot in the village where we sit down and talk about what we need for the upcoming season. Kannad is a decent place to work, but the weather has its own ideas most of the time. We spend a lot of our days dealing with the paperwork which is honestly quite a headache sometimes. Shree Kalikamata Agro Producer Company Limited was started because we were tired of doing everything alone. Now we try to coordinate things a bit better so everyone gets a fair shake. Bajirao usually handles the visitors if anyone drops by to ask questions. It is mostly just us farmers trying to figure out how to get our produce to the right places without losing too much money on the way. The road to our village isn't always the best after it rains, but we make it work somehow. Sometimes we sit late into the evening just discussing seed prices or who has a tractor available for next week. It is a slow process building this up from nothing but we are sticking with it. We don't have a big marketing team, so we just do it ourselves between chores. It’s hard work, but being here in Amba feels right for us.
