Our group, Waghchaure Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited, is based at Narayan Nanabau Waghchaure’s place in Dhangarwadi. We’re at Gut Number 77 in the Kannad area. It’s not a big commercial building, just a regular spot where we can get together and talk about the farm work. Most of us grew up here and have been farming these fields for a long time. We decided to register as a producer company because it’s easier to handle the buying and selling when you have a group. It was getting tiring trying to do everything as individuals. We don’t have any fancy equipment or a big staff. It’s just us and our families putting in the hours. Sometimes the weather is against us, or the market prices drop, and that’s when being a group really helps. We share what we know and help each other get through the tough patches. Life in Dhangarwadi is mostly about the rhythm of the seasons. We aren't interested in being some corporate giant. We just want to make sure the work we do in the soil is worth it at the end of the year. If you visit Gut 77, you’ll find us busy with something or other. It’s a practical way of living and working. We stay focused on the land and the crops because that’s what we know best. It’s just a group of neighbors trying to make things work a bit better for everyone. We take it day by day.
