Aware Patil Agro Producer Company Limited is located at Gat Number 87 in Neopur, which is a part of the Kannad taluka. We run our daily operations from Sunil Rajdhar Aware’s place. It is a good location for us because it sits right near the main path that everyone takes through the village. We are a small group of farmers who realized that working all by ourselves wasn't really getting us anywhere. The costs for everything like diesel, seeds, and labor just keep going up, but the prices we get for our crops never seem to follow. By forming this producer company, we feel we can bargain a little bit better with the traders. We are definitely not professional managers or city businessmen. We are farmers who spend most of our daylight hours out in the dirt and we only come into the office when it is absolutely necessary to check the books. The office is just a simple room with some old chairs and a table, nothing fancy at all. We spend a lot of our time there just talking about the weather or the different pests that are bothering the crops this season. In Kannad, the land can be a bit hilly and tricky to farm, so we help each other out with advice and share the equipment we have. It is a slow process to build a real company from nothing, but we are doing it step by step. We just want a fair price for our work.
