Murlimanohara Agro Shetkari Producer Company Limited is located in Barkatpur, which is in the Kannad taluka. We are based at Khandu Ganpat Jangale’s place. We are a local group of farmers. There isn't much to say about us that you wouldn't find in any other farming village. We wake up early, go to the fields, and come back late. We started this company because we wanted to have more control over our own crops. Kannad is a decent place for farming but it takes a lot of effort to get things right. We aren't some big city firm with shiny shoes. Most of us are more comfortable in the mud than in an office. We use Khandu’s place as our base because it’s easy for everyone to get to. We handle the agro business the old-fashioned way, with a lot of talk and handshakes. We don't have a fancy mission statement or a bunch of goals written on a wall. Our goal is just to get through the year and hope for good prices. It’s a tough job but we like it. We’re just regular people from Barkatpur trying to do something good for our community. We don't need much else. If the crops are growing and the rain is okay, we are happy enough. Sometimes it’s a struggle, but that’s just the life of a farmer in Barkatpur.
