Sahakarya Vrundawann Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Aurali, specifically at plot number 100 which belongs to Bhausaheb Devrao Nikam. This is in the Kannad taluka area. It’s a quiet place mostly, until it’s time to harvest, then everything gets moving pretty fast. We are just a collection of farmers from the local area who decided it was better to work together than to stay separate. Bhausaheb’s place is where we all gather to figure out the week’s plan or to talk about the price of fertilizer. There’s always a bit of dust in the air and the smell of the fields around us. We don’t have a big staff or anything like that, just us and sometimes our family members helping with the books or the loading. Life in Kannad is all about the seasons. You learn to watch the sky and hope for the best. We handle the usual stuff like cotton or maize, whatever the land gives us that year. It’s a lot of sweating under the sun and then sitting in the shade of the porch to talk about the next harvest. We aren't polished people, and we don't have a fancy way of speaking. We just know the soil here and we want to keep our farming tradition going while making it a bit easier on everyone involved. Sometimes we even share the old tractor if someone's engine breaks down. That’s just being a neighbor.
