Our shop is located at No. 122 on the East Coast Road, right across from the V.G.P. Golden Beach in Injambakkam. It is a nice spot to work, especially with the sea nearby, although the salt in the air can be a bit of a challenge for some of our things. We have been in this location for many years. The building is simple and doesn’t have any of the modern glass and steel you see in the city center. It’s just a practical workshop where we handle various diamond-related products. We don't get a lot of random people walking in since what we do is fairly specific, but we do have a steady stream of regulars. We don't bother with sales pitches or trying to convince people of anything. If someone comes in, they usually have a good idea of what they need, and we just help them find it. On the weekends, the road outside gets very crowded with people heading to the beach, but inside the shop, we just keep doing our thing. It can be quite detailed work, so we try to keep the atmosphere calm. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals written on the walls. We just want to do the work correctly and keep the shop running for another year. It’s a quiet, steady way to earn a living out here by the coast, and that suits us just fine.
