Lipi Polymers (P) Ltd

We are located at Plot No. 105 on 2nd Link Street in Nehru Nagar. It’s just off the Rajiv Gandhi Salai in Kottivakkam, so we get a lot of that OMR traffic noise in the distance. The facility is a big rectangular building with a lot of space for our machines. Working with polymers means there’s often a specific smell of heated plastic in the air, especially in the middle of the afternoon. We have several rows of shelves where we keep the raw materials and the finished parts. The floor is marked with yellow lines that have mostly faded away over time. We have a small office section partitioned off with glass, but it’s usually quite dusty because the doors are always open for ventilation. The guys on the floor usually have the radio playing some local music to pass the time while they watch the machines. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it needs to be done right. We have a small yard out back where we keep some of the larger scrap and empty drums. Sometimes the heat in the summer makes it tough, but we have big industrial fans that help a bit. It’s a solid, functional place. We’ve been in this part of Kottivakkam for a good stretch of years and we know the other business owners on the street pretty well. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on getting the daily production done.
