We’ve been at 16, Bhagyalakshmi Nagar for a while now. Alapakkam is a quiet part of Porur, or it used to be anyway. Now there’s more traffic on the main road, but our street stays mostly calm. It’s just a regular shop where we do our daily work and talk to whoever walks in. I started this because I needed something to do after my old job ended and it just kind of grew from there. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea, and other days everyone shows up at once. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a room with some shelves and a desk where I handle the paperwork. My nephew helps out when he isn't at college, mostly moving boxes around or helping with the cleaning. People in Porur know where to find us if they need something. We try to keep things simple because life is complicated enough as it is. Usually, I get here around nine in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to chat about the local news or the rain. It’s a decent way to spend the day. There isn't much more to say really. We are just a local business trying to get things done right the first time without making a big fuss.
