T. Sreenivasalu Chettiar

Thayar Kulam Road is always busy. There’s a lot of shouting and horns honking outside our door. Here at T. Sreenivasalu Chettiar, we just focus on the work at hand. It’s an old building at 13-C and it shows its age quite a bit. The walls need a new coat of paint but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We deal with a lot of regular folks who have been coming to us for a long time. They know exactly where to find us. Usually, someone is sitting on the bench out front just watching the traffic go by. We don't really do much advertising or stuff like that. People just know we are here. Inside, it’s a bit cramped with all the stock piled up. We try to keep it organized but sometimes it’s a real struggle. My uncle started this place and we just kept it going. There’s a lot of paperwork. Every day is pretty much the same. We open up, have some coffee, and see what the day brings. It can get really hot in the afternoons. We have a couple of big fans but they mostly just move the warm air around. Still, we like it here. It’s our spot. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to make sure the customers get what they need and go home happy. That's about it. Nothing more, nothing less. It works for us and the neighbors.
