Our group, Maa Mahadasani Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located at Plot No-766 in Uparbahal. We’ve been here for a bit now, just trying to get things organized for the local growers. Uparbahal is where we all live and work, so it made sense to set up right here on the plot. It isn’t much to look at, just a practical space where we can store things and talk about the next season. We don't have a PR department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just know that when we work together, we can usually get a better price for what we grow. Most days involve a lot of mud on our boots and some heavy lifting. We deal with the usual farming stuff like seeds, tools, and trying to keep the insects away. Sometimes the logistics of it all get a bit confusing, but we manage to sort it out eventually. We are all just local people who have been around this land for a long time. We don’t have any big corporate goals, just the hope that the next harvest is better than the last one. If you walk by Plot 766, you’ll likely see some of us sitting around discussing the weather or the price of grain. It’s just how we do things in Uparbahal. We keep it simple and keep going.
