We are a group of people from Utkela. Our office is right here in Kikia, in the Kalahandi district. It is just a small place at the post office area. Most of us grew up around here and we know the land well. Matrukrupa Farmer Producer Company Limited started because we wanted to do something for the farmers in this part of Orissa. There are a lot of families in Bhawanipatna who depend on the crops. We spend a lot of time talking to the folks in the village. Sometimes the weather is good and sometimes it is not. That is just how it goes with farming. We handle things from the local area. It is not a big fancy operation. We just sit together and figure out what needs to be done for the season. Life moves a bit slow but we keep busy with the work. We are not trying to be some huge corporation. Just local people working in the district. It is mostly about getting the seeds and the harvest right. Every day is different. We don't have a big staff, just some friends and neighbors helping out. If you walk past the post office, you will likely see someone from our team there. We just hope for the best for every farmer.
