Karunda Farmers Producer Company Limited is a local setup here in M Rampur. We are basically a bunch of farmers from the Kalahandi area who decided to work together. Our registered spot is at Plot No. 953/3613 in Mouza-Rampur. We use Jaganath Sahu’s place as our main contact point, which is at Khata No.905/241. Being in a place like Thana-M Rampur, everything revolves around the farming seasons. When it’s harvest time, this place gets really hectic and everyone is out in the fields or moving grain around. We started this producer company because it made more sense to pool our resources than to try and do everything alone. It’s not always easy, especially with the weather in Orissa being so unpredictable sometimes. We aren't experts in business talk, we just know how to grow things and how to talk to our fellow farmers. The 766102 area is where we live and work. We spend a lot of time discussing seed prices and where to sell the next crop. It’s a simple life but there is always something to do. We don't have a fancy website or a big PR team. It is just us, the land, and the paperwork we have to fill out to keep the company running. Most people here know Jaganath and the rest of the group. It is just a regular way for us to manage our farming lives.
