Adimchasi Producer Company Limited is located over in Th Rampur in the Kalahandi district. We operate out of the place of Bhagaban Das. Kalahandi is a place where farming is the main way of life, and we wanted to make sure the traditional farmers here, the Adimchasis, had a way to work together. It’s a long way from the big cities, and that brings its own set of problems, like getting supplies delivered or finding good prices for the grain. Bhagaban helps keep everything organized. Our days are mostly spent traveling between the different small plots and talking to the families who have been on this land forever. We don't have a big corporate structure; it’s more about who is ready to harvest and who needs help with their seeds. The office is just a spot to keep the ledgers and have a seat when the sun is too hot. We deal with the realities of the seasons and the local market quirks. Sometimes it feels like we are just fighting the elements, but having the company helps us stand a bit taller. People around here trust Bhagaban and the rest of the team because we are right there in the dirt with them. It isn't a glamorous life, but it is what we know and what we do. We just keep plugging away at it season after season and hope for the best for everyone.
