Kadapa can be a tough place when the heat hits, but our spot here near the Amma Bhavani Temple stays busy regardless. Being in Maruti Nagar, we are tucked away enough that it isn't too chaotic, though you can hear the temple bells sometimes during the morning prayers. The school building is a solid structure that has seen many groups of students pass through its doors over the years. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of teachers talking and the constant scratching of pens on paper. We don't have flashy decorations, just the usual charts and blackboards that get a lot of use. The hallways are narrow, so it gets a bit crowded when the classes change, and everyone is trying to get to their next spot. We spend a lot of time organizing the registers and making sure the classrooms are ready for the next morning. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to open all the windows wide to let in whatever breeze we can find. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s where we work every day. The staff room is always full of notebooks waiting to be corrected, and there’s usually a pot of tea sitting somewhere. People in the neighborhood know us by now, and you see the same faces walking by the gate every afternoon. It’s a simple routine that keeps the place running from one month to the next.
