Vikas High School

Vikas High School is located in D Matam, which is over in the Kadapa district. It’s a quiet enough place most of the time. We’ve been operating out of this address for a while now. The school is a high school, so we deal with the older kids who are getting ready for their big exams. That means things can get a bit stressful around here during certain months of the year. We have a set of classrooms and a small staff. Everyone knows the routine. We start early and stay until the afternoon. The building is nothing fancy, just sturdy walls and plenty of benches for the students. In Kadapa, it gets very hot, so we try to keep the rooms as cool as we can. We don't use any complicated teaching methods. It's mostly about the teachers explaining things and the students taking notes. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. Parents in D Matam are involved and often come by to talk about their children's progress. We don't have a big PR department or anything like that. We just focus on the books and the exams. It’s a simple life here at the school. We try to keep things organized, even when it gets busy. It’s just us doing our part in the local community of Kadapa. Every year a new group comes in and an old group leaves, but the work stays the same.
