If you head over to Chintala Chelika in the Rajukunta area of Kadapa, you will find our school. It’s a quiet spot compared to the bigger cities. The surroundings are mostly open land and local houses, so it feels very grounded. We have a simple building that serves the kids from this neighborhood. It’s not a fancy place with high-tech gadgets, but we have solid walls, roofs that don't leak, and enough desks for everyone. The playground is mostly just dirt where the kids play cricket or kabaddi when the sun isn't too hot. We start early in the morning before the heat really kicks in. The teachers here often walk to work because they live just a few streets away. It makes for a very close-knit atmosphere where everyone knows whose child belongs to which family. Sometimes we have issues with the power going out, but we just keep the windows open for light and carry on with the lessons. Our library is small, mostly just a few shelves of well-loved books that have been passed down through many classes. During the rainy season, things get a bit muddy around the entrance, but we just put down some stones and keep going. It’s a basic, honest place where learning happens in a very traditional way. We don't try to be anything we aren't; we just provide a place for the local children to study.
