Our office is in Aakar Complex, which sits right below Hotel Kaveri on S T Road. It is a pretty easy place to find once you get used to the traffic around here. We’ve been operating as Soni Impex Pvt. Ltd. for a while now, though it feels a bit strange having the private limited tag sometimes when it’s still just the same group of us in the room. The building is usually full of noise from the street outside. S T Road never really stays quiet, so we’ve learned to talk over the honking cars. We spend our time managing a lot of different items coming in and going out. There is always a stack of invoices on someone’s desk and the phone rings pretty often with people asking about their shipments. We don't have a big fancy reception area or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see us sitting around the main table with tea. It’s practical. We focus on the logistics part of things mostly. Sometimes the lift in the complex acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which keeps us moving. The space is a bit cramped when a big delivery arrives, but we manage to shift things around to make it work. It’s just a normal day-to-day grind for us, keeping track of everything and making sure the records are kept halfway decent and everything stays organized enough.
